Should
the government spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should
government spend more money on improving public transportation(buses, trains,
subway)?why?
The public transportation in
Jakarta is not good enough, like bus, train and etc. Many public transportation
there are old and unfit to use. Hot, dirty, unsafe it is also part of not good
enough of public transportation facilities exist. Besides the bad conditions of
vehicle one another reason is a driver, whose very reckless and impatients at
driving. Those are the huge factor that makes public transportation unfit to ride. And finally they choose to use
personal vehicle and makes traffic jam, because there are to many vehicle on
the road.
I know the problem not only on
the quality of public transportation, homover other problems there is traffic
jam. But the government can’t stop the growth of vehicle in the city, the
streets will always solid. Everyone will still use they personal vehicle, no
matter how the government improving the highway or toll road, the congestion
will not go away.
With all the reasons, that’s
way I think the government better use the money to improve the quality of
public transportation. Maybe by fixing the ones we already have, getting new
ones, and well educated driver or anything else but make it more fit to ride.
Because then people would prefer public transportation because they feel more
comfortable and secure, thereby reducing to use their personal vehicle. In
other words there are vehicle on the road will be reduce and could reduce congestion.
